Southern University Founder's Day celebration next week

BATON ROUGE- Next Monday, Southern University will be celebrating it's 101st Founder's Day. The celebration will include a keynote speaker, a Founder's Day birthday party, and an awards dinner and dance.

"It's a great time to have alums come back," Preston Castille admitted this morning on 2une in. "In fact all of our friends all over Baton rouge, all over Louisiana, all over the country."

Castille told News 2 that he's very proud of how much Southern University has grown over the years.

"We're educating lawyers, doctors, judges, just all over," he told 2une In's John Pastorek this morning.

The Founder's Day festivities will begin at 8 a.m. on March 9th, and will last throughout the week. For more information on the event please visit the university's website.
