Southern's first practice forced indoors
BATON ROUGE - The Southern Jaguars had every intention of starting their first practice of the fall in AW Mumford Stadium...mother nature had other plans.
Because of the slick conditions on the field, head coach Dawson Odums brought practice inside to prevent injury.
So what do the Jags miss by practicing indoors?
"Getting a good sweat going," said Odums. But everything else like execution, we can get everything else going...we'll scale it back, but we'll be alright, we'll make up for it down the road."
Southern coaches and players expect to be back outside for Saturday's practice.
