Southern routed by Nicholls St., 13-2
BATON ROUGE - Southern baseball is going through a tough stretch, losing 12 of their last 15 -- and that was before losing Wednesday night to Nicholls State 13-2.
The Colonels jumped all over the Jaguars with a 13-0 lead by the fifth inning.
Southern would get on the board with a pair of runs in the sixth inning, but Nicholls was too much for the home team in a run-rule ending in the seventh inning.
Four Jaguar pitchers walked 12 Colonel runners and 11 earned runs on the night.
