Southern rides big second half to 35-31 lead over Alcorn in 4th quarter
After trailing 35-14 to the Alcorn St. Braves, the Southern Jaguars rallied for three straight touchdowns to take a 35-31 lead early in the fourth quarter of their Homecoming game.
Quarterback Dray Joseph found Nico Talbert for an eight yard touchdown toss to make it a ten point game, and then connected with Randall Menard for the go ahead points.
Menard has three touchdowns on the night.
Justin Morgan rushed for a nine yard score to make it a three point lead by the Braves before Southern took the lead.
Southern is still struggling to rush the ball for effective yardage, but once again is leaning on it's passing attack to move the ball.
