Southern rallies, stuns Alabama A&M 35-34
HUNTSVILLE, AL - Malcom Crockett scored a 1 yard touchdown with 51 seconds remaining in the game as Southern rallied from a 20 point deficit to stun Alabama A&M 35-34 Saturday afternoon.
The Jaguars fell behind the Bulldogs 34-14, then rallied with 21 unanswered points to finish the game.
Austin Howard completed just 17 of 41 pass attempts, but did throw a couple of touchdown passes with both of them coming during the Jaguars furious rally.
Southern running back Lenard Tillery led the way for the Jags ground game with 93 yards and two touchdowns, and the team combined for 167 rushing yards.
The Jags improve to 4-3 overall and 3-1 in SWAC play, while the Bulldogs fall to 1-3 in the SWAC.
