BATON ROUGE - People will march against violence tonight at Southern University.
Southern University's Black History Club, Criminal Justice Club, NCAAP and Student Government Association are hosting a "Stop the Violence March."
Students and people from the community will march at 5 p.m. from the Smith-Brown Memorial Union courtyard, down E.C. Harrison Drive and end at the SU Law Center.
Following the march, they will hold a candlelight vigil at the Southern University Law Center for Trayvon Martin. Martin was killed a year ago in his neighborhood in Florida while walking home from a convenience store.
