The Southern Jaguars two game win streak in SWAC play is over, as the Alcorn St. Braves battled back in the final minutes of the game when quarterback Jordan Payne snuck it in from one yard out with just fifteen seconds left in the game for the 20-17 win.

The Jaguars had good field position near mid-field however a Hail Mary attempt came up unsuccessful. Southern moves to 2-2 in SWAC play and returns home for Homecoming next weekend against Texas Southern on Saturday, Oct. 13 at 5:30 p.m.
