NATCHITOCHES - The Southern Jaguars couldn't rebound from their blowout loss to the University of Houston, losing again on the road, this time, to Northwestern State, 55-14.

The Jaguars struggled again on defense, allowing three first half touchdown passes by the Demons' Zach Adkins. Northwestern running back Robert Walker also had a 26-yard scamper for a score to put the Demons ahead 31-7 at the half.

Dray Joseph eventually got the Jaguars on the scoreboard with a touchdown toss to Willie Quinn with 1:56 left in the first half.

Southern would score again in the third quarter, but they'd give up 554 yards of total offense to Northwestern State.

Joseph finished the day 19-for-28 for 187 yards in the air, but the Jag quarterback was sacked five times on the day.
