Southeastern beats Nicholls St. 52-37, clinch Southland title
The Southeastern Lions rode a huge third quarter offensive output to a 52-27 win over Nicholls St. on Thursday night in Hammond.
The win ran the Lions record to 10-2 on the season and brought the school their first double digit winning season. It also clinched the Southland Conference Title outright for the Lions who now turn their attention to the FCS playoffs.
Southeastern put together a 32 point showing in the third quarter and racked up 702 total yards, 377 coming on the ground.
