Southdowns scares; Spanish Town will be perfect
BATON ROUGE - Carnival is in full swing and fear rolled the streets of the city Friday night.
The Krewe of Southdowns paraded on its traditional route. The theme this year was "Phobias."
Floats were covered in bumble bees, spiders, needles and clowns. The family-friendly parade was lead by King Paul Major and Queen Mary Jo Nix.
Saturday, Spanish Town rolls through downtown and the neighborhood that shares its name. The theme is "St. Valentine's Day Masquerade." It rolls at noon.
