LAFAYETTE- Sources confirm to WBRZ News2, authorities are searching a residence in St. Landry Parish connected to the Mickey Shunick missing persons case.

Earlier Thursday, it was confirmed there's also been an arrest.

St. Landry Parish Sheriff Bobby Guidroz says he cannot confirm nor deny why his deputies are with Lafayette Police searching the area near Church Point.

Shunick vanished May 19th, riding her bike in downtown Lafayette. The bike was found, damaged, in Whiskey Bay under the I-10 Basin Bridge in Iberville Parish.

Police in Lafayette say they will not release any other details until a news conference tomorrow at 1p.m.
