Lil Boosie's lawyers want DA's office recused
BATON ROUGE- Attorneys representing Baton Rouge rapper Torrence Hatch, also known as "Lil Boosie" filed a motion asking to have the District Attorney's Office recused from the case.
Lil Boosie appeared in the 19th JDC today for a motions hearing to suppress evidence.
A judge could set a June 22 date to hear the recusal motion. If the District Attorney's Office is recused, the Attorney General's Office could take over the case.
Lil Boosie is accused of murdering Terry Boyd in 2009. Two other men were also indicted for that murder. Currently, Lil Boosie remains locked up at the State Penitentiary at Angola after he was convicted for drug possession.
News 2 will have several crews at the courthouse and will bring you the very latest here on WBRZ.COM and on News 2 at noon.
