Sources: La'el Collins to meet with NFL tonight
BATON ROUGE - Sources tell WBRZ, La'el Collins will meet with an NFL coach Monday night, hours after leaving a meeting with Baton Rouge Police where he discussed his relationship with a murdered woman.
WBRZ's sports director, Michael Cauble, reported on WBRZ News 2 at 6:00, he spoke with someone that is part of Collins' camp who believes the meeting with police opened the door for Collins to get back to his life. Collins, the source said, has already heard from numerous teams. One head coach will meet with Collins in Baton Rouge late Monday evening.
Collins was expected to be a top pick at last week's NFL draft but went unselected following details of his possible relationship with the victim and police wanting to speak with him.
