Sources: Jindal to scrap tax plan, propose 10-year rollout
BATON ROUGE - Governor Bobby Jindal is expected to announce he's scrapping his plan to immediately eliminate personal and corporate income taxes, according to multiple sources at the Capitol.
Those sources tell WBRZ News 2 the governor will instead propose rolling out the eliminations over the next decade, without any increase to the state sales tax or new taxes on services.
Jindal is about to speak before a joint session of the House and Senate.
News 2 will have more details as they become available.
