Sotomayor To Hear First Case As Justice
Justice Sonia Sotomayor will join the US Supreme Court tomorrow to hear a case about campaign finance law.
Sotomayor took the oath again today in front of President Barack Obama and Vice President Joe Biden. It was part of a ceremony where the court formally welcomed her as the newest member.
Chief Justice John Roberts administered the oath. Sotomayor then took her seat at the end of the bench next to Justice Stephen Breyer.
Last month 55-year-old Sotomayor became the first Hispanic and the third woman to become a Supreme Court justice.
