SORRENTO- The town's police chief will serve a fourth term, since his only opponent left the race.
The election was set for April.
Earl Theriot has been in the spotlight recently for making bizarre comments to WBRZ News 2 reporters, asking questions about the department's spending. Those reports led to a state investigation and changes in the police department.
Tuesday, Theriot told WBRZ News 2 he wants to return pride to the small town and also wants to use his position as police chief to help increase business in Sorrento.
