CENTRAL - While forecasters are still uncertain about exactly where Tropical Storm Isaac will hit, some people around East Baton Rouge Parish aren't taking any chances.

Several different tree service companies in the Baton Rouge area say business is picking up. Dale Small with Arbor Vision Tree Experts says it's always a good idea to inspect trees around your property, especially before bad weather.

Small recommends looking for bugs and dead limbs, possible signs a tree could be vulnerable, as well as trees with too much weight on one side.

Retailers are also having a tough time keeping certain supplies in stock. Sullivan Hardware says there has been a small rush for things like propane, batteries and tarps. Employees are contacting the store's propane supplier to make additional shipments.

Customers that spoke to News 2 said they know it's too early to tell if East Baton Rouge will see an impact from Isaac, but they said it's better to be prepared.
