BATON ROUGE- It's the last day of school at Istrouma High in Baton Rouge, and some students aren't sure what's next after their summer vacation.

In the fall, Istrouma will fall under control of the Recovery School District. Students will have the option to go to another school if they don't want to be part of the RSD.

Istrouma is changing hands from East Baton Rouge Parish Schools because it will be part of the RSD's Achievement Zone. The program is designed to turn around failing charter schools.

But some parents don't think it will make a difference.

"They took Capital High, Glen Oaks Middle and Dalton Elementary," said parent Pearl Porter. "So far I don't think it's worked."

Another change coming in the fall is that students from Prescott Middle will move to the Istrouma Campus.
