Some CATS bus stops canceled for weekend parades

BATON ROUGE - Mardi Gras festivities in Baton Rouge may affect some CATS riders this weekend.

On Friday, the Krewe of Southdowns Parade will roll, affecting riders on sections of the Garden District and LSU Cortana Mall bus lines. Multiple bus stops on Lee Drive as well as stops near Perkins Road have been canceled.

Saturday at noon the Spanish Town Parade will zigzag through Downtown. Riders on the Scenic Highway, Winbourne Avenue, Florida Boulevard, Capital Park Trolley, Government Street, Jefferson Highway, Garden District Trolley, Airport Express and the Highland Road lines may be affected.
