BATON ROUGE- A Central woman is facing charges animal cruelty charges after she's accused of keeping dozens of animals in her house in central.
Animal-control is still finding animals, a week after seizing dogs, cats and a bird from Cindy Browning's home.
But things are starting to look up for the animals taken from a woman officials call a hoarder.
More than half of them are expected to survive. And some have already found good homes.
Mary Rioux says she couldn't wait to adopt one of the animals, a parrot.
She says, "Oh my goodness I wanted this one so bad .I've always wanted a bird.. Always.. And when I heard that this one was here. And it was adoptable. Then honey I was ready to get it."
.
If you'd like to adopt one of the animals contact the Companion Animal Alliance of Baton Rouge.
