When you're getting ready to rescue sea turtles from an oil spill, the shopping list includes 50 wading
pools.
Michele Kelley, Louisiana state marine mammal and sea turtle stranding coordinator, says they've probably ruined every child's summer in New Orleans because they bought all the kidding pools.
But so far, the pools have remained stacked at the Aquarium Aquatic Center.
If there's a flood of oiled turtles, however, that could change.
Three oiled birds, including a pelican brought Thursday, are being treated at a rescue center at Fort Jackson in Plaquemines Parish.
