"Snowbird Bandit" is retired cop
RANCHO SANTA MARGARTIA, CALIFORNIA- A retired Los Angeles police detective is accused of being the "Snowbird Bandit" who knocked off several banks and his family helped turn him in.
Randolph Bruce Adair is 70-years-old and was busted for five robberies this year. He was booked into the Orange County jail on $205,000 bond and investigators say they will pursue federal charges against him.
Adair's family contacted authorities saying they had information about the robberies and led them to him.
