Small business owners seek opportunities at summit
Small business owners filled the Baton Rouge River Center today to find out how they could take advantage of new tax cuts and other measures that were recently signed into law.
Speakers at the Baton Rouge Small Business Summit included Senator Mary Landrieu, the chair of the Senate Small Business Committee, as well as representatives from local banks who helped explain how business owners can get faster access to loans.
The summit included sessions about trade and exporting opportunities, information on tax incentives and lending opportunities, and how to take advantage of federal and local contract sources.
The recently-signed Small Business Jobs Act provides more than $12 billion in small business tax cuts, easier access to credit and enhancements to Small Business Administration programs.
