SLU forms scholarship fund
HAMMOND - Southeastern Louisiana University has formed a scholarship aid program for students who are on track for graduation but may not be able to complete their studies without financial assistance.
The Completer Scholarship Fund is designed to provide support for students who are within one year of graduation.
SLU officials say the fund received a boost recently with a $43,000 donation from telecommunications provider AT&T Louisiana.
About 80 percent of SLU students receive some form of financial aid.
