Slocum falls short of Wyndham title, FedEx Cup
GREENSBORO, NC - Heath Slocum shared a tie for the lead after 70 holes of the Wyndham championship, but by the 72nd hole both the title - and a place in the FedEx Cup - had eluded his grasp.
The Baton Rouge native bogeyed the final two holes of the championship and finished in 4th, two shots behind winner Camilo Villegas, which placed him at 129 in the final standings.
Former LSU Tigers David Toms and Andrew Loupe finished in a tie for 18th and 24th, respectively.
Toms made the cut to continue play in the FedEx Cup, but Loupe will be on the outside looking in.
