Six Ascension Parish residents arrested

BATON ROUGE - Ascension Parish Sheriff Jeff Wiley reported six arrests in connection with the operation, production and distribution of methamphetamine.

Deputies were told a residence in Galvez was manufacturing and distributing methamphetamine on August 10th. Deputies searched the residence and found two methamphetamine labs, methamphetamine, marijuana and a .38 caliber handgun.

Prairieville residents Rusty Neff, Danica Broussard, Cody Poche and Terrence Folks were arrested along with Kindrick Jones of Maurepas, and Penny Duplessis of St. Amant. All were charged with operation of a clandestine methamphetamine lab, possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

The suspects are awaiting bail in the Ascension Parish Jail.
