ASSUMPTION PARISH- A sinkhole that has swallowed up parts of a bayou and forced more than a hundred people to evacuate grew even more Tuesday.
The swamp in Bayou Corne collapsed another 50' x 100' section. But, leaders said the growth is away from homes and a highway.
The sinkhole developed in August and is connected to an underground salt cavern that failed.
