Single-vehicle crash takes life of unrestrained driver
BATON ROUGE - Louisiana State Police say a woman died Saturday night after crashing on Interstate 10 in Ascension Parish.
Taslein Whitney, 36, of Baton Rouge crashed her Jeep after the left tires drifted off the road causing her to overcorrect into a guard rail, according to troopers.
Troopers say after impacting the guard rail, Whitney was ejected from the vehicle. Whitney was not wearing a seatbelt, and the front passenger was also not restrained, but had moderate injuries.
A toxicology report is pending.
