A single-vehicle accident on La. Highway 112 has claimed the life of a 28-year-old Elizabeth woman.

State police identified the victim of Thursday's crash as Deborah C. Parker.

Troopers say the accident happened when 29-year-old Jason B. Mancil's car ran off the road and hit a tree.

Investigators say Mancil, who was not wearing a seat belt, suffered minor injuries.

Mancil was cited for careless operation.
