Silicon Valley startup expanding into Louisiana
NEW ORLEANS - A business software outsourcing startup based in Milpitas, California, plans to open a tech center in Louisiana by the end of September.
Gov. Bobby Jindal says salaries will average $64,300 a year at the first offices outside Silicon Valley for Enquero Inc.
Co-founder Hemant Asher says he and two other men incorporated Enquero four months ago.
He won't say how many employees work in California except that the number is "in the double digits" and growing rapidly.
Hemant says he and the other founders had worked together for years for Indian outsourcing giant Infosys, and each has 20 years of experience in the business.
Jindal says Enquero expects to have 350 employees in Lafayette by the end of 2017.
