Shreveport police officer ticketed
A minor accident in a Shreveport parking lot has landed a police officer in trouble.
Earlier this month, a police officer saw one of the department's cars parked in a lot with damage to the front bumper.
After investigators began looking into who caused the damage, Cpl. Robert L. Rivet, came forward and admitted he'd struck the vehicle while he was in his police car.
Rivet was issued a traffic citation charging him with one count of hit-and-run.
Chief of Police Willie Shaw has ordered an administrative investigation to determine what departmental policies may have been violated.
