Shreveport man shot to death at home
SHREVEPORT - Shreveport police say a local man was shot to death after an argument in his family's home.
Police say in a news release Sunday that 43-year-old Charles Ray Acklen died at the home late Saturday of multiple gunshot wounds to his upper body.
Investigators say they were told Acklen was shot after he threatened to shoot his father.
Cpl. Breck Scott, the police department's public information officer, says the father was taken to police headquarters and questioned but was not charged with a crime. The father was released.
Scott says information about the shooting will be forwarded to the Caddo Parish district attorney's office.
