SHREVEPORT - A Shreveport man has been found guilty of murder in the shooting of three brothers over an X-Box gaming system.
A Caddo Parish jury deliberated about an hour Tuesday before finding Marcus Donte Reed guilty on 3 counts of first-degree murder in the deaths of 18-year-old Jarquis Adams, 20-year-old Jeremiah Adams, and 13-year-old Gene Adams.
The murders took place in August of 2010.
At the time, investigators said that Reed mistakenly thought that the brothers were responsible for stealing the video game system and burglarizing his girlfriend's home.
The same jury meets Wednesday to determine Reed's punishment, which could be the death penalty or life in prison.
