After 93 years, a Shreveport foundry has been sold and shut down.
Shreveport Brass Works opened in 1917 as an iron, brass and bronze foundry serving oilfields and manufacturing.
The company's owner said the foundry is a victim of a dying industry, and the U.S. industry cannot compete with China.
