We start this Monday Morning with mostly cloudy skies and isolated to scattered showers. Some thunderstorms are possible too. Temperatures are in the lower 70s.
We will have another round of scattered to numerous showers and thunderstorms this afternoon. This is all thanks to a mid to upper-level low that is sitting north of Baton Rouge and daytime heating. Some of the storms could be strong to severe at times. They could contain very heavy rain, gusty winds, small hail and have frequent lightning strikes. We could pick up a few inches of rain again, and some flash flooding will be possible. High temperatures will be in the upper 80s to around 90.
The showers will taper off tonight, but we will still have a few lingering around. Otherwise, it will be mostly cloudy and muggy with lows in the mid 70s.
