There are isolated showers and a few thunderstorms popping up this morning with mostly cloudy skies. Some could be strong to severe. Otherwise, it is warm and humid with temperatures in the 70s.
The showers and thunderstorms will become more numerous through the morning and into the afternoon. Some of these could be strong to severe at times with damaging winds, heavy rain and frequent lightning strikes. The storms are coming from a few disturbances that will move south and a cold front that is moving into Louisiana. We will get pretty warm today with a high around 90.
There will still be some showers and a few thunderstorms tonight as the cold front moves through Baton Rouge. Otherwise, it will be mostly cloudy and muggy with low temperatures in the lower to mid 70s.
