The morning commute is looking pretty good with partly cloudy skies. Some patchy fog is also possible. It is warm and muggy with temperatures in the upper 60s to lower 70s.
A weakening cold front will move into the Baton Rouge today, and that will bring us numerous showers and thunderstorms as it stalls. Some of the storms could become strong to severe with gusty winds, heavy rain and some hail. The biggest issue for us will be the heavy rain and we could pick up a few inches with some minor flooding. It will be warm before the rain starts with highs in the lower 80s.
The front will remain over us tonight. This will allow for the heavy rain and storms to continue all night. Lows will be in the mid 60s.
