Show off your antiques, Attic Treasures at the library
BATON ROUGE - If you have any antiques or collectibles lying around the house, you can find out how much your Hidden Treasures are worth this weekend at the East Baton Rouge Library.
You can bring up to three antique books, guns, jewelry, pottery or war artifacts to be authenticated at the 14th annual "Attic Treasures and Collectibles". There will also be a ribbon-cutting for the library's new plaza.
Assistant Library Director Mary Stein says it's her favorite event of the year.
"Local experts will tell you what you have, how much it might be worth or what you should insure it for free of charge," she beamed. "when someone walks up to the expert everyone also gathers around to see what they have."
If you've got something you'd like to have checked out, stop at the Main Library on Goodwood in Baton Rouge Saturday from 9 a.m. - 1 p.m.
Watch the video, visit the East Baton Rouge Library website or give them a call for more information.
