COVINGTON – A 75-year-old woman was arrested Thursday after St. Tammany Parish deputies said she brought a shotgun to her attorney’s office to kill him.

According to St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Office spokesperson Daniel Seuzeneau, 75-year-old Patricia Currie entered the law office on Highway 21 in Covington Thursday afternoon. The attorney told deputies that Currie was wearing plastic bags on her feet and hands with a towel draped across her lap.

After asking what she needed, the attorney said Currie pulled a .410 shotgun from under the towel and said she was there to kill him. Seuzeneau reports that the man was able to subdue Currie and call 911.

Investigators say Currie was uncooperative and refused to state her name. She was booked with aggravated assault with firearm, resisting an officer, possession of Schedule IV drugs and illegal carrying of a weapon during a crime.
