BATON ROUGE - The 2015 sales tax holiday for hunting supplies is happening throughout Labor Day weekend.

It's the Louisiana Second Amendment holiday where shoppers can get various hunting items with state and local sales taxes off.

The holiday started Friday and will last through Sunday.

"It's a pretty big savings depending on what you buy," said customer Wade McManus.

Shoppers can save 4% on state sales taxes and an additional percentage off of local sales tax. For East Baton Rouge parish, the local sales tax rate is 9%.
