Shooting victim who crashed into home identified
BATON ROUGE - The man found shot to death inside a pickup that crashed through the front of a Baton Rogue home has been identified by authorities.
Police say the victim is 71-year-old Joseph Martin of Baton Rouge, and was found shot in the head around 9 p.m. Friday. His death is the third reported homicide in Baton Rouge this year.
Officers had been called out to a home on Andover Street after a pickup had crashed into it. The truck was still running and smoking, and once crews shut it off they found Martin inside the dead inside the vehicle.
