BATON ROUGE - Police tape and first responders blocked North Street near N 46th Street Monday afternoon after a man was found shot near Turner Plaza apartments.

Dispatchers sent police and emergency personnel to the scene shortly after 2 p.m. Police say a car pulled up next to the victim while he was walking down North St. A man got out, shot the victim in the leg, and drove away. The victim, a 33-year-old man, is in the hospital recovering from non-life threatening injuries.

Investigators haven't named any suspects, and a motive is unclear. Anyone with information is asked to call BRPD.
