An overnight shooting at the Castlebrook Apartments in Baton Rouge has neighbors questioning their safety and whether changes need to be made.

The complex is located one block away from Sherwood Forest and Coursey Boulevard, an area neighbors consider safe.

"I fear for my life," said a man who only wanted to be identified as 'John.'

Investigators say a man was found shot inside his apartment just after midnight. He was taken to a local hospital with serious injuries.

Neighbors who heard the gunshots say they immediately heard people running away from the apartment where the shooting happened.

"You see what just happened here last night, I want more patrols," said 'John.'

Investigators need your help finding the shooter or shooters in this case. If you can help the East Baton Rouge Sheriff's Office track them down, call their office at 225-389-5000. Right now, there are no suspects or motives.
