WBRZ - Baton Rouge

The East Baton Rouge Sheriff's Office held a press conference Tuesday evening to discuss the death of the man accused of shooting a deputy earlier this week during a traffic stop.

DeWayne Steward was tracked to a trailer in Darrow Friday afternoon and cornered by deputies from both East Baton Rouge and Ascension parishs. After a standoff, Steward shot and killed himself.

Sheriff Sid Gautreaux addressed the media about the investigation.
