BATON ROUGE - Detectives asked for the public's help tracking down a BBQ pit trailer which was stolen from a gas station in East Baton Rouge Parish recently.

Deputies said the trailer was taken on Dec. 28 around 5:25 a.m. from David's Mobil Station at 12101 Hooper Road.

According to the sheriff's office, surveillance video showed someone in a Ford Explorer backing up to the trailer and then leaving with it on Hooper Road a few minutes later. The video also showed a man getting out of the passenger's side of the truck wearing a tan, long-sleeve shirt and khaki pants to close the gate to the trailer.

Anyone with information about the missing trailer should call the East Baton Rouge Sheriff's Office at (225) 389-5000.
