Sheriff's operation targets people who skip court

GONZALES - The Ascension Parish Sheriff's Office announced a new initiative this week targeting people who fail to appear for court.

Called "Operation Outlaw", people will be featured each week of the initiative that have had felony bench warrants issued against them for failure to appear.

Sheriff Jeff Wiley released the following names for the first week of the program:

Bruce Million, 26, of Prairieville had two outstanding warrants for forgery and theft, issuing worthless checks and bond revocation.

Craig Stanley Andrews, 48, of Darrow had warrants for drug possession, domestic battery and traffic violations. His last known address was on Orice Roth Road in Gonzales.

Jeffrey Hunt, 23, of Geismar had warrants for drug possession with the intent to distribute, speeding and driving without a driver's license.
