Sheriff's office plans school supply giveaway
BATON ROUGE - Sheriff's deputies announced plans Tuesday for their upcoming Scotlandville School Supply Giveaway.
The East Baton Rouge Sheriff's Office said their annual school supply event will be Saturday, Aug. 2nd from 10 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Glen Oaks High School.
A department spokesperson said school children must be present to receive supplies. Lt. Governor Jay Dardenne will be featured as a guest speaker.
The school supplies event will also have several other groups on hand, including the Clerk of Court to make child IDs and members of the EBRSO DARE anti-drug team.
Refreshments will also be served.
