Sheriff's deputies searching for missing teen
BATON ROUGE - Sheriff's deputies said they're concerned for the welfare of a Baton Rouge teen who investigators said ran away from home earlier this week.
Deputies said Kathryn Labauve, 16, took her mother's SUV and left home either Monday evening or early Tuesday morning. Investigators said the vehicle was spotted Tuesday in Lafayette and St. Martin Parish, and then in LaPlace Tuesday night headed east on I-10, and that they believe Labauve is headed toward Florida.
An East Baton Rouge Sheriff's Office spokesperson said deputies are also looking for John Lamberson, 41, of Baton Rouge. They said he may have information pertaining to Labauve's whereabouts.
Deputies said the vehicle Labauve was in is a 2007 powder blue Toyota RAV with an LSU license plate.
Anyone with information as to Labauve or Lamberson's whereabouts is asked to contact law enforcement immediately. You can reach the East Baton Rouge Sheriff's Office at (225) 389-5073.
