Sheriff: Missing swimmer's body found
FRANKLINTON - The Washington Parish Sheriff's Office says the body of 22-year-old Melanie Borja has been found.
Borja, of Picayune, Miss., went missing on the Bogue Chitto River near Franklinton on Sunday.
The sheriff's office tells WDSU-TV that Borja's body was found at about 1 p.m. Wednesday near the area she was last seen.
The Coast Guard said the woman jumped off her inner tube Sunday and started swimming. She was last seen about halfway down the river.
