ROUGON – Shortly before he died, a Rougon man told authorities his son was the one who shot him, according to the parish sheriff.
Sheriff Bud Torres said 18-year-old James Rogers was arrested in suspicion of this morning’s fatal shooting of his father, James Juge.
According to Torres, Juge called 911 around 2:00 a.m. and told dispatchers he’d been shot. He later died from his injuries, but not before telling investigators his son was the one who shot him.
Torres said Rogers had left jail recently; he had been sent there for breaking into Juge’s home.
